Where land and sea make beauty, this IS Antigua.

This site is to provide a gathering point to distribute information to conserve and preserve our national asset.

Let us keep our beaches, coasts and waters clean and healthy.

Saturday, is the day.....

So we are getting some plans finalised and here is the scoop….

This is an effort to make us aware of the problem and to adopt some individual responsibility, for the collective good.

NSWMA, being the body mandated to dispose of the garbage and trash that accumulate.

It is the responsibility od us the public to place the material where NSWMA has designated as a collection point, in the state required.

So in this context we need to work together.

This event has two components, firstly Saturday is the formal part in that NSWMA will provide support for this endevour, in the form of providing gloves, bags and collection of collected waste.

The focal beach is Fort James, around 1230 there will be a meet to have a conversation to discuss the why’s and wherefores of the event.

The beaches in question are..

Jabberwock
Fort James
Fryes
Darkwood
Pigeon Beach
Indian Creek – the small “lovers beach”on the way to Devils bridge.

Waste will be collected at the end of the day. Please leave in a designated spot.

cool. my mom who works at the Island Academy School has put up a notice there about it. Seems as though none of the kids there knew about it. We need to hit the schools next time making them the main focus of promotion. Anyway, kids there are already saying they will get their parents involved. Its sometimes better that way huh?
