Antigua Beach Clean - up

How many times do you visit the beach and wonder where that piece of what is essentially trash came from, or perhaps keeping an eye out for a message in a bottle !

Well join us on your favorite beach over the week end of th 15 and 16 of September as we hit the beach along with thousands of others around the world collecting the waste that is a quiet menace to the creature of the oceans for a variety of reasons, that usually amount to a life foreshortened due to an item not being disposed of properly in the first place, potentially many miles away. Not my backyard syndrome.

Give some thoughts to how we can as a community make this situation better, it will need constant care and attention.

If we all play our part we will make it seem effortless, many hands make light work !

In the next post is some information of the type of trash collected when this was done in 2002.

It would be great if folks could cataloged the collected waste in oder that we can collect the data and information to be able to assist in reducing this waste problem with appropriate and as possible accurate information.

I will make a form that can be printed out.

Lets take loads of photo's, record the trash lets have a look at what there is and of course lets get some people shots.

Most of all lets make this fun.
